Empowering Clients With Effective and Supportive Advocacy
Meghan was drawn to the practice of family law because of her passion for helping clients navigate the complexity and stress of the legal system. She believes clients should feel informed, genuinely heard, and confident that communication with their counsel is clear and consistent.
She has experience representing clients in litigation, including before the court, in mediation, and in negotiations. Meghan additionally assists clients in negotiating and executing domestic contracts, including marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, and separation agreements.
Before joining Richardson Hall LLP, she practiced family law at a full-service law firm in Ottawa.
Meghan was born and raised in Gatineau, Quebec. She graduated with High Distinction from Carleton University in Global and International Studies. Meghan then attended McGill University where she obtained her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law. As a law student, she worked with the Legal Information Clinic at McGill and clerked at the Administrative Tribunal of Quebec.
Outside of the office, Meghan enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, and especially likes hosting them for a good meal. You can find her on the weekends taking in Ottawa’s local theater, music, and arts scene or attending the various festivals and markets available in our lovely city.
