Varied experiences support thoughtful advocacy
Angela was drawn to practicing family law by her desire to help people navigate challenging personal circumstances and to demystify the practical aspects of relationship breakdown. She understands that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to family law matters; instead, Angela works with clients to develop creative, efficient, and forward-thinking solutions that work for their unique family circumstances.
Prior to law school, Angela completed a BA Honours in Political Science at Acadia University and was a stay-at-home parent for six years and a diplomatic spouse for three, posting to Israel from 2013 until 2016.
On returning to Canada, Angela pursued a law degree at the University of Ottawa. While in law school, she was an Editor with the Ottawa Law Review (2016-2019) and worked for Global Affairs Canada. In 2019, she won the John E. Vanduzer Scholarship for her paper entitled “Who Cares? BIOC in a Post-Custody Future”, which examined the recent amendments to the Divorce Act from a feminist ethics of care perspective.
Angela graduated with a Juris Doctor (cum laude) from the University of Ottawa in 2019 following which she articled and practiced at a well-known family law firm, gaining practical experience in a fast-paced work environment. She is also an elected member of the Council for the Ontario Bar Association.
When not working, Angela enjoys spending time with her family and convincing them to take extended road trips all over Canada. She also loves gardening, playing guitar, and knitting.
