Adapting seamlessly to new situations

Having begun her legal career during a pandemic, Camille has taken changes to the legal profession and court system in stride, demonstrating her ability to adapt quickly and seamlessly to new situations.

Camille has successfully appeared in Small Claims Court and has worked on family and civil matters in both the Ontario and Superior Court of Justice. Camille currently practices in both family and civil matters. Her interests currently lie in family, landlord tenant, personal injury, estate and construction matters. Camille completed her articles at Augustine Bater Binks LLP and Richardson Hall LLP, and is excited to establish herself in the Ottawa legal community.

Originally from Montréal but raised in Calgary, Alberta, Camille grew up in an anglophone environment but never lost touch with her francophone roots. Camille est parfaitement bilingue et fière de pouvoir assister ses clients en français et/ou en anglais. Camille completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto where she graduated with high distinction. She then moved to Ottawa to obtain her law degree from the University of Ottawa. She became events coordinator of the Ottawa chapter of the Legal Education and Action Fund, an organization devoted to the substantive equality of all women in Canada. She also fostered her interest in both family and civil litigation through internships with Toronto and Ottawa based lawyers.

During her studies, Camille became involved in the artistic community of her university, as a set designer for theatre productions and as a curator for student led art exhibitions. Throughout her law school in Ottawa, she noticed the lack of creative outlets for students and spearheaded the creation of the Creative Law Collective, a group for students to explore and foster connection between the practice of law and creative industries.

Outside of the office, you might find Camille practicing aerial silks with the circus community in Ottawa, planning her next backcountry camping trip, embroidering or cross-stitching.
